Daley lauds Nonprofit Security Grant Program awards

HARRISBURG, Oct. 29 – State Rep. Mary Jo Daley said today she is proud to report upcoming state investments to protect people in the 148th Legislative District who may be vulnerable to acts of hate.

The following organizations received awards from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s Nonprofit Security Grant Fund Program.

  • ECE Center at Congregation Or Ami, $50,000
  • Gan Israel Chabad Inc., $24,999
  • I.S. Kosloff Torah Academy High School for Girls, $25,000
  • Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia, $75,000
  • Jewish Relief Agency, $25,000
  • Lower Merion Synagogue, $150,000
  • Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El, $25,000
  • The Mesivta High School of Greater Philadelphia, $25,000

“Everyone should be safe where they congregate and attend school,” said Daley, D-Montgomery. “This funding will help prevent violence and cultivate a community that consistently opposes hate. I commend the administration for prioritizing the safety of those at risk, and I look forward to advocating for this crucial program in upcoming budgets.”

The PCCD administers the Nonprofit Security Grant Fund Program, which has provided $25 million in funding to more than 580 organizations since its inception. This latest, seventh round of grants, will go to 208 nonprofit organizations, including 102 organizations that have never received funding through this program.
