Schlossberg chosen by peers as Majority Caucus Whip

HARRISBURG, Nov. 12 – State Rep. Mike Schlossberg, who was elected today by his peers to serve as majority caucus whip for the 2025-26 legislative session, released the following statement:

“It has been an honor to serve as caucus chair for the past two years. Being part of this leadership team allowed me to fight for the people of Parkland and Allentown.

“Moving up to majority whip, I look forward to working with my colleagues as we prepare for the 2025-26 session. One of my responsibilities will be helping members to be ready and effective when we are on the floor fighting for good jobs, ensuring full funding for our schools and creating safe communities.

“These new responsibilities will allow me to be an effective voice and champion for the people of Parkland and Allentown. We need real leadership to put the needs of our communities first and make life easier for Pennsylvanians.

“Right now, Democrats have a very humble majority. Last session, we partnered with Gov. Josh Shapiro to get stuff done for all Pennsylvanians and we need to do that again this session. I look forward to working with Gov. Shapiro, House Republicans and the Senate to cut costs for working families, invest in our children’s education and grow our economy,” Schlossberg said.

The caucus whip is part of the leadership team in the House of Representatives. The role of the caucus whip is to work with other members on and off the floor for legislation being considered in the House of Representatives, so legislators can effectively represent their districts.

Schlossberg was first elected to the state House in 2012. He serves the 132nd Legislative District, which comprises parts of the city of Allentown, parts of Upper Macungie Township and all of South Whitehall Township.
