Kim announces $270K state grant for Wildwood Park development

HARRISBURG, Nov. 12 – State Rep. Patty Kim today congratulated Dauphin County for receiving a $270,000 Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Grant for development at Wildwood Park.

The Community Conservation Partnership Program grant will go toward renovation of a pedestrian walkway and parking area, construction of boardwalk, streambank

restoration and stormwater management measures. The project also will include ADA access, landscaping, project signage and other site improvements.

"We’re thrilled to celebrate this state funding for Harrisburg's Wildwood Park,” said Kim, D-Cumberland/Dauphin. “These funds will help preserve and enhance this beloved natural oasis, providing crucial support for conservation efforts, trail improvements and expanded access for all visitors. Wildwood Park’s beauty and biodiversity are treasures for our community, and this grant ensures that it will continue to thrive as a sanctuary for people and wildlife alike."

DCNR’s C2P2 offers a wide range of grant and technical assistance programs to help Pennsylvania communities, land conservancies and non-profit organizations plan, acquire and develop natural resources in the state.

In addition to the funding awarded in Kim’s district, more than $8.2 million was awarded to 24 organizations that fund community conservation projects statewide.
