McNeill: imperative school infrastructure funding acquired for Whitehall-Coplay School District

HARRISBURG, Sept. 10 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill announced today that a $15,582 school environment improvement grant was awarded to a school district in her community by the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Environmental Repairs Grant program.

“Students’ learning environments are imperative and it is always important to maximize the quality of them as much as we can,” said McNeill. “The more we invest into these students, the more successful they will be to lead us in the future when we can no longer lead. This investment for the students of the Whitehall-Coplay School District is great news, and I was proud to work to acquire this funding for those students.”

The funding was awarded to many school districts around the commonwealth and is designed to help schools repair and replace air conditioners and heaters, remove asbestos and lead pipes, fix roofs, and improve the safety and quality of school buildings and infrastructure overall.
