Schlossberg lauds almost $500,000 for Cedar Creek Parkway West

HARRISBURG, Nov. 12 – State Rep. Mike Schlossberg welcomes today’s announcement that a $493,400 Community Conservation Partnership Program grant was awarded to continue development of Cedar Creek Parkway West.

“Cedar Creek Parkway West is an important part of Lehigh County’s park system and county officials have been diligent in ongoing improvements since the master site plan was developed in 2011. It is home to youth, adult, and school athletic sports competition from across the region and is often a very busy hub of activity. Pennsylvania’s investment in Cedar Crest Parkway West will help preserve and enhance youth sports and continue to allow residents to enjoy access to nature for years to come,” Schlossberg said. “I am proud to have supported the ongoing funding to make C2P2 possible and support Lehigh County’s stewardship of Cedar Creek Parkway West.”

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources administers C2P2, which offers a wide range of grant and technical assistance programs to help communities, land conservancies and non-profit organizations plan, acquire, and develop:
