Malagari presents $200K check for Lansdale Borough equipment upgrades

LANSDALE, Oct. 16 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, joined Lansdale Borough staff to celebrate a $200,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

"This grant is a significant step in supporting Lansdale’s commitment to delivering top-notch services to its community. When our municipalities have the right tools, they can operate more effectively and ensure a higher quality of life for residents,” Malagari said. “I’m proud to work alongside Lansdale Borough and the DCED to secure this funding, which will benefit our community for years to come."

The grant funding will be directed towards upgrading the borough's vehicle fleet and equipment, which play a critical role in maintaining infrastructure and responding to community needs. By improving the fleet, Lansdale Borough aims to better serve its residents, meet increasing demands, and enhance the overall efficiency of local services.

"We are incredibly grateful for this grant funding, which plays a vital role in enabling Lansdale to carry out necessary improvements and services to our community. The long-term investment in vehicles will allow us to expand our capabilities and ensure our fleet is better equipped to meet the growing demands of Lansdale now and for years to come,” said Lansdale Borough Manager John J. Ernst.

“The borough is proud to partner with Representative Malagari and the DCED to ensure these projects are funded and executed. Partnerships like these are critical in providing our staff with the resources they need, ultimately making Lansdale a better place for residents, business owners and visitors.”
